One of TurboGoat's favorite peripheral makers has been the victim of a snatch and grab. Or in this case a scratch and sniff? Mad Catz, that wily gaming peripheral maker has sunk its claws into Saitek to the tune of $30 million.

As Saitek was mostly PC gear and Mad Catz was mostly console gear, it seems a logical deal. It also looks like no one will lose their jobs over it.

Mad Catz president and CEO Darren Richardson stated: “PC games peripherals is a category closely adjacent to our core console business and we are thrilled to be adding one of the world’s leading providers to the Mad Catz family."

Just in time for the holiday sales rush as well. You may recall that TurboGoat recently reviewed Saitek's newest flight gear .

I wonder if they'll change the name to Zaitek to go with the Mad CatZ. We like the Z personally.
