[News] [PS2] [PS3] [PSP]

And we're off!

Sony's conference began dramatically, with action sequence from a number of games, including Bioshock, Madden, Rock Band, and Star Wars: Force Unleased for the PS3.

Jack Trenton, the president and CEO of Sony of America, was the first to speak, with a lot of drama and a few jokes.  He spent some time talking about the history of the theater in which they held the event and the history of PlayStation (it was 15 years ago this week that execs made the call to proceed with development of the PS).

After bragging about the launch of 2007, Jack went onto to talk about the "genre-defining kick ass games" PS3Resistance 2 offers, including the 75 exclusive titles.  "2008 is the year of the PS3"

Resistance 2 video footage kicked off the real show, and it looked incredible, as the player battled a giant monster of epic size.  The thing literally was taller than most buildings in the game.  Some pretty incredible battle footage there.

Then Jack started talking about "Sacboy" and Little Big Planet, and itsLittle Big Plannet capability for user-generated content.  After talking financials, using a user-created Little Big Planet level in lieu of a slide presentation, which was a really nice touch.

Jack then introduced Gran Turismo TV, which will allow gamers to see exclusive race, and car based footage, and then onto a short disucssion about trophies and their future, but no specifics we're given.

Jack promised our patience would be re-warded, but no specifcs on a release date yet, but he did play a nice video showing even more Home and the themed-game spaces.
