[News] [PC] [PSP]

Expanding on the already released Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 systems, game developer KOEI announces the release of Warriors Orochi for the PSP and PC comming March 25th. What does this mean to you?

This means you can take your triple tag team where ever you go.  Fighting your way though expansive playing fields is no longer limited to cells like previous versions.  All 79 fighters are in the palm of your hand as you battle to the top, until finally reaching the evil Serpent King.  Hook up with a fellow PSP player through a wireless connection.and fight them as well.

You can also wage war on the PC, with enhanced graphics providing that your system meets the requirements.

Several things make this game really interesting.  We all love free play every now an then - it transports players away from a sometimes boring story line that many fighting games attempt to employ.  However, this title offers story mode with four  different story lines to play.  What's even better is that all four story lines cross one another, creating an incredible matrix of events that is both intriguing and entertaining.

The tag team system really changes things up.  Its not just a one man (or woman) game any longer.  Choose your best three fighters (or ones that happen to work together well without bickering) to bring to a match, and while one is fighting the others are resting and gaining their health back.  It is up to you to figure out what abilities and weapons are going to work best to take that silly snake man down (I prefer a snake club personally.)

“What if I don't think my weapon will do the trick?”  Simple, fuse something else to it.  Did I say simple?  Well in the game it is easy. Simply pick a base weapon and add a fusion weapon to it.  It leaves you with a fancy new weapon, which is technically your old weapon plus a few stats.  Up to five fusion  spots are available which means my dream of a "Cat Chainsaw Gun" is just that much closer to reality.  Or mix and match to create something totally awesome that is actually in the game!
