Speaking of launch promotions, Activision is no slouch at this game either. For the upcoming release in their mega-popular Quake series, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars a one-day launch party will be held across North America at 50 iGame Centers on 6 October and a two-week showcase will take place 8-21 October at an additional 100 centers.

WHAT:
Leading game center organization iGames will host a series of special events to celebrate the release of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, id Software’s critically acclaimed team-based multiplayer and prequel to the futuristic wars in QUAKE II.

WHEN:
The first event will be a one-day launch party, Saturday, October 6, followed by an expanded showcase, October 8-21, allowing Quake fans of all stripes one free hour over a two-week period to sample the eagerly anticipated and critically acclaimed title, which has received more than 15 awards and has been heralded as one of the most anticipated new titles in 2007 by nearly a dozen publications.

WHERE:
