So last month there were some rumblings about Datel working on Wii versions of their software. I was tired of waiting and emailed a Public Relations person for the company.
Did I mention how much I love the public relations people of the world? It's quite a lot, possibly more than my Wii itself even.
Anyway, here's the email conversation thus far.
Me: I was curious if there was any information on when either of these products [Action Replay MAX or Freeloader] will be released. I read recently that the company was working on one but there is no official information available it seems. Also has the company tested the Gamecube version of the Action Replay MAX on the Wii for compatibility?
Him: We've just released a new version of Action Replay which is compatible with the Wii in GameCube Mode, and FreeLoader is to follow.
We're looking into a Wii FreeLoader, but no news yet.
Yes! This is hot hot news for people like me who live and game in a multi-region environment due to the path our lives have taken us down. I have all my North American Nintendo GameCube games here with me and now I will have a way to play them on my Euro PAL Wii.
I will keep you all apprised of any new information that I am able to catch.
