[News] [X360] [Wii] [PS2] [PC] [NDS]

That is right; this popular Disney production that has entrapped many people from young to old is being released as something new.

Get ready to "dance" this Christmas when High School Musical 3: Senior Year DANCE! enters stage left onto the Wii, Xbox 360, PS2 and Windows PCs.  Players will be able to dance along with their favorite stars to tunes from all three movies.  Players will also experience another year as Wildcats at East High.  Something less movement based is High School Musical 3: Senior Year for the Nintendo DS which features all new songs from the upcoming theatrical release High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

“We’re building on the success of last year’s line up of ‘High School Musical’ video games with new immersive extensions to the hit property,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. “We’ll continue to bring exciting and fresh interactive experiences to ‘High School Musical’ fans everywhere, delivering new storylines, characters and songs

The consoles have a rhythm-based dance game where players move to the music and take control of their favorite character.  Customized outfits can be created with a variety of shoes, outfits and hair styles.  Multiplayer cooperative and competitive modes are available either requiring the players to be synced or given power ups to affect each other.  Earn points and even unlock new songs, clothing and characters.

The Nintendo DS has something a little less.  Apparent from the title, High School Musical: Senior Year, it is missing the dance aspect of the game.  Instead, the players are given trivia questions to determine which character they are most like.  Then their character can dance through their own theme based game.  The stylus and D-pad are used to capture photos of those special moments and create a custom East High senior yearbook.

So come this Christmas, I even know a few people that are going to be begging me to get them this game.  To them I say "Dance Monkey! Dance!".
