Wouldn't you know it, "Supercar" owners HAD to rush out to buy Grid.
In what I dub a "blatant PR stunt", "supercar" owners rushed to the launch of Grid to pickup their own copy AND a system to play it on.
Though it is stated that their motivation was to "experience for themselves what critics are dubbing the most realistic racing experience", to me it is obvious that this was setup as a PR stunt. Why else would six guys dress up in racing outfits buy not only Grid, a game that is less than what they can already experience with their own cars, but also systems to play it on (meaning that they don't even play any of the previous racing games)?
While ridiculous, it still is a sweet maneuver to show off some good looking cars. When it comes down to it though, no one will swallow the story.
