[News]

Apparently, a name change will help Phantom Entertainment Inc. (aka Infinium Labs, Inc.) release its LONG awaited console. E-Releases.com posted this news release today, saying that the company's stock holders voted to change its name. Surprising, since not much has been heard from the company since COO Kevin Bachus' appearance on G4TV's Attack of the Show over a year ago.

What makes Phantom Entertainment's announcement even more interesting is the fact another console hopeful, Envizions Computer Entertainment Corporation, announced two days ago that it would ship its next-gen race entry, the Evo: Phase One, in October of this year. I am hopeful, as I believe competition is good for the industry, that all of these consoles will be released, and soon. But I am also realistic, and realize, despite the best of intentions, these pipe dreams may go the way of the Indrema.
