This clip has been around for a bit, but a friend of mine brought it to my attention today. It's hilarious! Thanks SkyCaptain!

Wait...this didn't happen yet, at least not in the real world, but with Super Bowl XLI just hours away, simulations of the event are taking place all over the United States. Madden has become everyone's virtual NFL, even the NFL. Undoubtedly, those of you watching the game will see at least a few simulated plays in EA's homage to the gridiron. Below is Game Daily's 2007 Super Bowl simulation, complete with simulated NFL Films voice over.

In addition to American football's championship game being played in Miami, Madden Bowl 2007 has also come to the tropical metropolis.

Ok so maybe you won't actually be able to check your email while in orbit around the planet but I don't see why not.

Users of Hotmail by now have seen the latest marketing email from Microsoft that states you can win a trip to space on the Rocketplane along with a massive AMD powered Dell with Windows Vista on it.

Actually the grand prize is:

The trip to space, a Windows Vista based AMD powered Dell desktop pc, 24" widescreen monitor, Zune™ digital media player, an Xbox® 360 gaming console, three Games for Windows game titiles, a Microsoft® LifeCam VX-6000, Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007, and $50,000 cash to help defray the cost of taxes. All I can think to say it HOLY CRAP! Now THAT is a prize package!

In addition there are a ton of other prizes available including 15 PCs, Zunes, Xbox 360s, Vista Ultimate and some Games for Windows.

I love gaming; not just video games, but board games, mind games, and trivia games, as well. In fact my whole family loves games. I remember as a child, playing board games together with my family, and then finishing off with a trouncing playing Combat against my father. I especially love team games, whether the endeavor is physical or mental - there is just something about the camaraderie that spawns from the collective drive to defeat the competition.

It is the preparation for one such game that has kept me from writing here lately.
