[News] [Retro] [Wii]

Actually, quite a nice collection of games today.  The Ecco games were always very cool: innovative and beautiful to behold.  I recall playing Dragon Spirit, and thinking how it seemed to represent the old world Japanese culture expressed in a new medium (I know its just a flying Dragon game - I was young.)  And Super Mario Bros. 2?  Well, its not quite what everyone is waiting for, but it is one step closer to the elusive Super Mario Bros. 3.

[Retro] [Wii]

Europe and the other PAL territories get to play catch up with N.A. today on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console as Bloody Wolf is released. But we also get a new addition in Kirby's Dream Course. Not a fantastic week but it could have been worse, it could have been Barbie.

I'm not sure what to think of this.  In general, I have never been much of a fan of board game to videgame adaptations.  For example, the Monopoly videogame never did it for me, but my girlfriend has long loved an interesting hybrid named Monopoly Tycoon.  I've never played the board game on which this weeks game, Carcassonne, is based, but it does look interesting.  Not quite sold, but maybe the demo would be worth the download.

Here is today's offering from Nintendo, "in a nutshell" - Awesome, Boring, Catch Up.   I'm thrilled about the arrival of F-Zero X. It makes up for the other two.  See for yourself.
