Every Week we will try to get the newest releases from the Playstation Network (PSN) up for you. This week I managed to get to it on time for a change.

[News] [X360]

Xbox Live Arcade Logo

Disappointingly, Microsoft only released one title today on Xbox Live Arcade.  Priced at 800 points, Mutant Storm Empire is one of the less interesting titles to be offered for some time.  What I was really hoping for was some Guitar Hero III content.  I realize its only been a few days, but I think if they plan to compete with Rock Band, the GH3 folks will need to start the DLC (downloadable content) very early.

[News] [Retro] [Wii]

Wii Virtual Console Banner

Sorry for the late post today, but here it is: today's Virtual Console Releases!

There is a bit of a Halloween theme here today, with Castlevania II and Magician Lord making appearances.  Rounding out the three-release week, is Samurai Ghost, a TG16 title previously unreleased in the States.

[News] [Retro] [Wii]

Wii Virtual Console Banner

Another week of Nintendo's brand of retro gaming has landed on PAL Wii, and this time it's an over-priced threesome of a dinosaur, a sequel to a spin-off and a side-scrolling action game.

It seems to be that Nintendo is following the same plan that many game studios are doing, not bothering to look outside the box and find something new for us but rather just keep slinging spin-off and sequel after sequel on the Virtual Console. I can hardly wait for the Wii Ware to come around so we can get some new and more interesting gaming ideas flowing onto the platform. The Virtual Console is cool but I am tired of seeing the same old things show up week in and week out and I'm especially tired of seeing the lame games from the 80's and 90's making reappearances, as if buying and playing them once wasn't insult enough to gamers.
