Ben 10: Alien Force- A Little More Grown Up

The cartoon series, Ben 10, from 2005 was so much fun, that Cartoon Network brought Ben back with Ben 10: Alien Force. In this series Ben is 15 years old, and has learned a thing or two.

The story begins with Ben having returned to life as one of the rest of us. He’s taken off his Omnitrix device and has generally put his attention to doing what other teenagers do. He’s confident and mature. The story gets interesting when Ben’s grandpa mysteriously disappears. To figure out what happened to Grandpa Max Ben puts on the Omnitrix again. He also ropes his cousin, Gwen, and long time enemy, Kevin, to help him find out what happened to his grandpa.

The story twists and turns through a lot more than the original Ben 10 series does. The plots are more complex, even a bit dark, and more characters die. Ben also recruits the help of the Plumbers children. These kids are half human and half alien and are very helpful in stopping the attack of Ben’s new enemy, the Highbreed.

Towards the end of the series Ben and Co. are forced to take on bigger challenges, and delve more deeply into the mysteries of the Omnitrix in order to defeat the powerful villain returned: Vilgax. The series ends with a final battle between Ben and Vilgax, where the Omnitrix is destroyed. But, don’t worry, Ben emerges ready for the next series, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, with a new device called the Ultimatrix.
