Mario Party 9

We realize that when a game reaches its ninth edition is very difficult to innovate on it, not only happened to older titles like Mario Party but also others like Final Fantasy or Pro Evolution.

The Mario Party:

Mario Party 9 may not be better than Mario Party before, but it is still a very fun game to share with your friends in your living room. For those unfamiliar with Mario Party this is a game that contains a series of mini-games where we compete for stars and points to reach a goal, is a sort of Ludo with minigames.

For this new edition of Mario Party minigames some have survived, others have been discarded and obviously we have added extra. Some minigames have some difficulty while others are simpler. We have the same skill sets that are physical and mental ability.

The chance of Mario Party 9:

One of the major changes in Mario Party 9 is no longer moving within map board or individually, but we do it together. This is funny on one hand but on the other does not give us the motivation of having to reach out to our enemies in the boxes below.

Moreover Mario Party 9 is much more focused on the random dice rolls to the value of games, in part is no longer a puzzle game to pass to become a game of chance.

Audio and video:

As for the graphical section that almost no improvements in relation to Mario Party 8, and in part this disappoints me because they are charging for a game like new without even offering some tweaks to the characters.

On the other hand the scenarios and the minigames have been well designed and as well as working well are colorful and fun. The sound section we also look familiar if you've played Mario Party, the music is repetitive and the sound effects too, but Mario Party 9 allows us to put our own background music without losing sound effect.

Conclusion:

Mario Party 9 is an excellent multiplayer game and an excellent puzzle game, but it has too many similarities with their previous titles. On the other hand, the graphics are good but not dazzling; the lack of online multiplayer leaves a void in the game.
