Here we will discuss all the terminology and basic rules you should know to play roulette. Roulette is played on a roulette table that is marked with special booths and areas in which are listed the types of bets in roulette. Players use cards to place your bets on the roulette table.
There is a difference between the design of the European roulette table with a single zero and the American Roulette with double zero.
The wheel and roulette ball
The roulette ball is a small metal ball is thrown in the roulette wheel as it rotates. The ball lands on a square with a number, which determines the outcome of that round of the game.
The roulette wheel has special boxes are numbered from 1 to 36. In European roulette, there is also a box to 0 and in American roulette there is a box for the 0 and 00. All numbers are marked in red or black and the 0 and 00 are marked in green. Of the numbers from 1 to 10 and 19 to 28, even numbers are black and odd numbers are red. Of the numbers from 11 to 18 and from 29 to 36, even numbers are red and odd numbers are black.
Roulette bets
There are two types of roulette bets: inside bets and outside bets. Inside bets are made on a single number or a small group of numbers and outside bets are made to large groups of numbers.
Novice players tend to be tempted with inside bets because they offer very high payouts. However, it is important to remember that while higher the payment, the lower the odds of winning the bet.
Outside bets pay less tempting offer, but have a much higher chance of becoming a winning bet. As a general rule, it is advisable to avoid making bets and concentrate on one outside bet or a combination of two outside bets, for example, a bet on odd / even and column bet.
