Shank 2: Beautiful violence

Shank is a very violent and fun game. Shank 2 the second installment of this saga is presented with a far superior gameplay without losing its essence, certainly a great work of the guys from Klei Entertainment for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

History:

For this second installment the story has changed a bit, since it is not a world beaten, stabbed and shot for no apparent reason, but this time a more political and social issue knocks on the door of the game.

This new background is seen only in some parts of it, since in most of the time in Shank 2 again we see the same scenes of bars, strippers and other vices not much to talk about the new story. At times between the story and gameplay we could remember Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, another excellent title.

Gameplay:

It has mounted a new mechanics of fun on Shank 2. Now our character movements are more rapid and accurate. Changes in weapons and stunts are performed in real time so no complaints there at the time of death, we can not blame the controller or the game, our life and death of others depend on us.

As for the new dynamics and new weapons the game is presented in a much more complete and with a much more important content. However, some cinemas and certain points in history to leave a little bit happy.

Audio and video:

Obviously, for this second installment Shank is much improved. As we said all that lies in the movements and the struggle has passed in relation to the first title. Also the characters and scenes are more detailed and better textures.

But on the other hand the cinema still seem a bit dated, it may be the desired effect but these do not quite get along with the entire game. The audio is also much better presented in this release. Both sound effects and music is catchy and fun. The work of the voices was also well done.

Conclusion:

Shank 2 is a much higher degree Shank 1 in many respects and who has enjoyed the first one will realize that after playing the second is impossible to return to the first. Better gameplay, better story and better visual and audio sections left far behind the original delivery yet always remain in our memories.
